Research in our group is highly interdisciplinary, involving aspects of organic, organometallic, polymer and Nanomaterials chemistry. Currently we are involved in the design and synthesis of new molecules/materials containing p-block elements for the potential application in the field of Catalysis, Molecular Electronics and Chemosensory materials. Analytical techniques for our current research include X-ray crystallography, multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, atomic force microscope (AFM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetry (TGA) UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopies. In collaborations with engineers and physicists, device applications such as Organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) and thin film transistors (TFTs) are developed.
