Hydrophobic and Hydrophilic Guest Molecule Discrimination (pink color: six phenol water cluster and green color: Chloroform molecule). |
Main Group Organometallics, Polymers and Nanomaterials
Research in our group is highly interdisciplinary, involving aspects of organic, organometallic, polymer and Nanomaterials chemistry. Currently we are involved in the design and synthesis of new
molecules/materials containing p-block elements for the potential application in the field of Catalysis, Molecular Electronics and Chemosensory materials. Analytical techniques for our current
research include X-ray crystallography, multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, atomic force microscope (AFM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC),
thermogravimetry (TGA) UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopies. In collaborations with engineers and physicists, device applications such as Organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) and thin film
transistors (TFTs) are developed.
